Bold!

The only birds that are bold enough to get close to us and feed are the robins and the pigeons.  Today this little robin visited to have a peck at the lawn.  He/she is still quite young I think as its chest feathers are none too tidy looking although the red breast has very clearly appeared! This shot was taken at a distance of 30 -40 feet away so not brilliant.

In other news:  today is our 45th wedding anniversary, an event for which there were only 2 cards, one from me to Mr MC and one from The Son to us both.  Mr MC did buy me a rather lovely bird feeder from our local garden centre to make up for the lack of card though.  Card buying seems to be a downward trend these days as firstly lots of us put up greetings on social media sites and also the pandemic seems to have had an effect too.
