The 18th Hole

After the Orienteering today in Lossie Thomas joined me at Lossiemouth. We enjoyed a dog walk along the beach. This fine Highland Stag stands by the 18th green looking out over the Moray Firth. It was made by Andy Scott who made the Kelpies. It is now protected by having been galvanised and powder coated. The lighthouse is Covesea which was finished in 1846 following a storm which wrecked 16 ships with the loss of many lives and was decommissioned in 2012
