Forest Mother of Pearl
It was an on and off kind of a morning at the Butterfly House. Thankfully it stayed dry until mid afternoon but there were periods with nobody in attendance and other times when it was chocka block full with kids holding buddleia flowers wanting the butterflies to land on theirs.
After lunch we went to Mum's to do some pruning in her garden before the rain came and spoiled our fun! Good job we were just finishing up. We had a lovely roast dinner and continued our planning for our week in Ludlow soon.
Today's butterfly from the house is a forest mother of pearl. They are stunning if you happen to see them with wings open and you can see exactly whilst they are named as such. Sadly, they don't tend to sit with their wings open for more than a second or two and they land quite high up, so it's not easy to get any decent shots of them. This is the best I could do today.
