well now i understand why those two ducks were hanging out around my apartment. they had a clutch of eggs somewhere nearby and this morning the baby ducks appeared. i'm not entirely sure how they're going to get across the eight lanes of lakeshore drive traffic to get into the lake, but i'm sure mama duck will figure something out.
