This one's for Francois!
Our dear, dear neighbour Francois (it's his house peeping into the photo from the left side), had a very seious fall from a ladder this afternoon. We were just about to dish up for supper when Fanie, our gate guard, came running to our house, shouting Fancois fell and is unconscious!
Ronnie and Joe ran out, both of them are trained first aiders, Charmaine and I ran out as well, he was lying unconscious and very blue in the face, on the sidewalk, where he was pruning his trees that touched the electric fencing. More neighbors arrived and Charmaine called NECSA Emergency Services as well as the Neighbourhood Watch management, and Francois's wife Hannelie, who works in Brits, about 25 minutes drive from home in peak traffic.
We wish to thank all the neighborhood watch members who turned up to assist, it is absolutely remarkable how these people support each other in times of crisis!
Just about 30 minutes after the accident happened, he was on his way to Unitas Hospital in Centurion, with Hannelie in her car behind the ambulance. She hastily packed an overnight bag for Francois, dropped it on her front seat with her handbag and followed the ambulance, but that was not the last of her nightmares for the day! Dirty bastard thugs smashed and grabbed everything from her front seat at the crossing close to the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria! Can you believe that!? As if she was not traumatized enough!
My dear friends, please pray for this lovely family once again, like you did 2 years ago! Our hearts are broken for them tonight!
Francois has regained consciousness but is very nauseous and vomited quite a bit, a very serious concussion, and possibly broken rib, but he is still being x-rayed and examined, I will keep you posted on his condition!
