Sports Day

Today was Katie's sports day and she was extremely excited about the races.

The first race was the sprint. Katie prepared herself, waited for the "Go" and flew like the wind, so confident that as she passed me taking pictures she decided to pose and wave. She still had plenty of time to cross the line in true Eric Liddell fasion in first place. (I say Eric Liddell because he was Scottish just like my little Scottish lass).

Enough of the sentiment!!!

I punched the air as Katie sailed across the line in complete awe of her amazing win! A very proud Dad.

However the rest of the morning was not quite as successful, as she fought over a pink hand bag in the dressing up race, dropped the ring off her head several times, the bean bag spend more time on the floor than the racquet, and she enjoyed the space hopper so much she decided not to race but to enjoy bouncing on it instead! However she and all her friends had a great time and all received a medal at the end. They were all winners.
