Sunshine on the sunflower

I can’t remember growing sunflowers before, possibly the odd one, this year there are a few although none are taller than me, 5ft nothing. It is a pleasure to see a hint of yellow, fingers crossed the weather is good to them.

I always have to take a look at the patch of Japanese Anemone, they attract any number of insects and always a pleasure to walk by to the sound of bees buzzing. The colourful plants at ground level are looking good and trying to make themselves seen.
