My Cosmos are looking pretty, but I bought packets of several varieties. Many are lagging behind and these pink ones are the best of a bunch far less attractive than last year’s.

I’ve seen a minuscule runner bean doing its best. These are my favourite. I love them with pasta, especially with a lemon and mozzarella sauce……. But I’ll have to wait.
