Finally

Finally a close up hummer photo - purely accidental of course. I have not seen the female at the feeder at all till now. I was lurking by our elm tree in the hopes of catching the redstart family that has been foraging there for a few days . I did get to see them but pics were bird with leaf in front of it's face. Giving up I headed for the house and when I got about 8 feet from the deck two hummers whizzed over and the female stopped for a few minutes  at the feeder. I guess she wanted a snack . For once a hummer who was totally unconcerned with my presence. The background unfortunately not the most exciting because it is our deck railing.
