Fuchsia
Another 3mm of rain today, making 90.4mm of rain for July, nearly twice the average. This time last year in the East we only had about 10mm of rain over a 10 week period until mid August - this year for the last 8 weeks we've had 130mm. Last July we had our worst heatwave, with a max temp in Holt of 37.5C - this July we haven't had that many days over 20C. I've never not sat out in my garden in July before, I think it's rained most days. No wonder the farmers are tearing their hair out with the impacts of climate change and weather systems seemingly getting 'stuck'! I did manage to get out in the garden to do some deadheading and weeding this morning after this morning's rain and before the rain arrived again this afternoon. Very little is flowering in the garden, a lot went over quickly with all the rain. These fuchsias are in a tub and are obviously loving the weather, unlike the roses. I've also been doing some tidying and admin.
