African Milky Eagle Owl

We went to the Hawk Conservancy today and were treated to 3 magnificent flying displays of hawks, kites, vultures, owls, falcons and eagles. Truly marvellous to watch especially when the staff managed to get the birds to fly right overhead, and I mean really overhead! You are encouraged to keep your head down when the birds fly over in case you "go home wearing a vulture".
This fine bird is an African Milky Eagle Owl and it flew over my head, missing me by no more than six inches! Incredible.
