Peony, again

Yep, it's the same flower from yesterday, but this time it's open and this shot was taken with my new lens.
I'm so happy with my new lens. It's a 100-200mm Minolta zoom, also known as the baby beer can. It's so sharp as this was taken from a couple of metres away and then cropped. It's has some purple fringing but I don't care as the colours are spot on and I can now zoom in on distant objects. My love for my Sony a57 has now been fully renewed and as a result it's going to get it's own bag made for it.
Apart from getting a new lens, I've been busy dyeing up samples of yarn for college. I've been very methodical in how I've done it and been pleasantly surprised with the results. It now means I can crack on winding the warps and get them ready to be dyed over the next couple of days.
It's been really warm and sunny today so Yarn Club was outside and we made felt beads. Even Thom joined in.
I'm not seeing the Sheeple tonight as tired and Rob was a bit late back. Some selfish knitting at home instead.
