Moving Day
Just seconds before I retrieved the camera Hilda the Wonder Dog was snoozing away in her kennel in the midst of all of this stuff...
Once again, this is not that picture.
She trotted off when she heard me with the camera.
She's so used to this, she didn't even blink for this move....I guess she's figured out we always take her, too, along with the boxes and the suitcases. Just wait until we leave her with my sisters for three months until we can get her to London with us. Ah, well...Sisters have three other dogs...she might not even want to leave with us again after having a pack of her own 24/7.
Note...There are at least two things in this photo (totally by chance) that my mother-in-law made. The pillow, which is an amazing work of art -- her own design, beautiful navy blue throw pillow with bead, embroidery and edge work of many things she thought represented me: Oregon grapes, a working woman with a sheaf of wheat, a dragon fly, the Taj in India... and the dog blanket atop the dog crate, a simpler piece no doubt, but still a labor of love. It was Hilda's Christmas present this last year. Someday I'll photograph more of the quilts she's made us. They are definitely photo worthy.
