Hover fly on the tiny fern frond

The first tiny thing I saw today was one of several vinegar flies on the fruit in the bowl. They are so tiny that my shots of them didn't work too well. So I went outside in the warm sunshine and the hover flies were having a party. This one wasn't the first I saw but it was the first that sat still enough.
