Windy

I slept right through again last night and didn’t cough, so am beginning to feel that I am definitely on the mend.

It’s been very windy most of the day, but also with blue sky, sunshine and clouds.  We also had a small shower of rain this afternoon.  At the moment, though, the wind is howling outside.  Tomorrow is going to be windy, cold and possibly sleety.  I think we’ll stay in!!

The new fridge/freezer for the kitchen was delivered today and we both heaved a sigh of relief when it fitted into the space.  Now all we have to do (that’s the royal we) is take the doors off the other fridge so it can be moved downstairs into the laundry, which might possibly be more difficult than it sounds.  Just after the fridge was delivered a man turned up at the gate with a brown paper bag.  When I opened it, there was a little package of six beautiful handmade soaps inside, a house warming gift from a friend in Christchurch.  How very thoughtful.



We had a visit from our lovely Blipper friend, Mima, and her beautiful dog, Bean.  Mina brought us some parsnips and leaks from her garden.  The parsnips will be turned into soup, probably tomorrow.

We’ve been doing research online today on things we need, which is always fun, but sometimes very frustrating.
