Hidden corner
Another trip to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with a hospice client with several hours to kill. So back to Kings Lynn for a walk with my big camera.
I came away from the river this time and found a collection of old houses and hidden corners.
Wandered down this street of terraced houses with occasional ginnels (small alleyways). Some opened up into cobbles courtyards with lots of well tended flower pots scattered around, some went to untended back yards, others had big padlocked gates preventing access and then there was this one.
The entrance "tunnel" was slightly curved so the inside was partially hidden but it took only a few steps to see the full beauty of this little corner. It was just an alley with no other way in or out, houses on both sides and could have looked like one of the worse places in the town to live. But with the hanging baskets, window boxes and pots, all carefully tended and in full bloom. The residents obviously work together (and maybe in competition with each other) to make this a really pretty place to live. They should be really pleased with what they have done
