Conival & Ben More Assynt

Just the perfect walking-day ... have never climbed the only 2 Munros in Assynt before; and today was the day!

Main snap shows the view looking down Gleann Dubh, taken as I was walking back to Inchnadamph, where 'R' had dropped me off early this morning ;-)

You can see Loch Assynt in the hazy distance - and luckily the weather was like this all the way around the 12-mile route! Conival climbed first; then the long ridge traverse over to Ben More Assynt; then back via Gleann Dubh and a quick visit to the Traligill Caves.

And I even managed to successfully hitch a lift (2nd passing car stopped for me!) back over to Ullapool, just in time for dinner :-))
