Punk Bluetit - Cyanistes caeruleus

Birnie Loch is the perfect place to get close-ups of common birds feeding. There is a bench seat where you can sit and watch them and in turn, they are fairly used to human presence. They tolerate it because a high proportion of visitors bring food for the birds.

I particularly liked this punk-looking bluetit.

It was looking much smarter a couple of months ago.

It has probably raised a brood in the meantime.
