Candles

My latest candles have turned out well. I love thé colour of this wax. It’s the wax that covers the honey in the frames, called the cappings. These are cut away when the honey is extracted and I carefully save them. I think that because the honey is finished the bees don’t walk about on the fames and so the wax stays very pure and clean. It certainly makes preparing the wax a lot easier as it hardly needs cleaning.
These candles will be off to market on Friday, along with the background cloth that I found in my fabric stash!
