Fire Red

We’ve been thinking of some sort of art mark to thank this Parker Island community for putting out this forest fire on our  power line June 2.        The fire red crayon driftwood piece has been sitting in our backyard many years…painted by Tatum and a friend.   So with a wood burned thank you sign , we installed them today.   Hope to not see anything like this again.    Bigger area in the extra. 

Then friends arrived on their boat …..one of H’s medical partners who is still running the practice in Everett, and his wife.   We’ve seen them here with their kids many years.   We had a good chat on the deck and  H took them on a walk back up to the top and around.  He’s glad to have someone besides me to talk to!  Many stories….Then the 3 of them managed with considerable effort to dislodge that hung up log from our rocks.   Hurray!   They brought dinner too!    How cool is that?     Included in the extra 

Our Seattle families are all flying right now….the boys and parents to Sweden and Italy for 2 weeks and the girls and mom to Duxbury to see their other grandparents and family.
