Big Sky

A lovely, sunny day today and I was feeling better for most of it. Had a book club breakfast first thing in the morning and went from there to an interpretation job for a couple hours. Then I had a little time to kill before picking up my daughter from her French tutor, so I got to drop in and visit a friend and fellow blipper for a few minutes.

After dinner I took my daughter to lacrosse training in Essen. Her club is on Lake Baldeneysee and there are beautiful trails there, so I went for another 10k run tonight. I had meant to take today off from running, or to scale back, at least. I know I don't generally do well if I try to pack in too many kilometers without sufficient rest time. But the weather was so pleasant and I had the time at an ideal location - so why not? And I shaved a little more than a minute off my time from yesterday. That felt good. But tomorrow I will definitely sit out, as I'm a bit queasy and weak again tonight.

Thank you for all the support and encouragement when I was out of sorts yesterday. I took this blip when I finished my run at the lake, with the sun setting behind me, casting some beautiful colors across the water. I'm afraid I really don't do the scene justice, but I think you get a sense of the peacefulness.
