Wet Dog Day.....

A day of cattle work
Managed to stop raining briefly so took the chance to do the 50 cows that I had shut in to wean with fly repellent and run them out to a field.
Carted the bullock calves out to their field next door,then a quick shower and change and off to the dentist for part 1 of 3 for the broken crown replacement. Obviously he gets his priorities right as I had to sign the contract agreeing to pay him for the work before I even sat in the chair !
Back home by 4 pm,so set about carting the remaining heifer calves up to the hill. Had them all done by 7.30, collected Littlemiss then went round to check all the calving cows.
By the time we got back at 9 pm it was starting to get dark. Where has the summer gone?
That's 180 miles I've done since yesterday morning hauling cattle about. Keeps me out of mischief......
