August started wet. I did a load of washing and tidied the bedrooms.

It was still damp in the afternoon but I put my waterproof jacket on and walked to Waterhead. For a while there was some blue sky but cloud covered the fell tops.

For anyone who read my blip about the public toilets in the centre of Ambleside closing suddenly here’s an update. I detoured via the NatWest cash machine and beside the Thai restaurant saw a new sign …… public toilets at rear. Then another …… public toilets and an arrow. I went around the back to where the toilets were and above the doors was a new toilet sign. The doors were shut though. I’m hopeful that they will soon be open. I’ve no idea who is running them.
