Mystery Moth - now ID’d as African Peach Moth
Another lovely morning at the Butterfly House with waves of people and times of calm - perfect for a little photography of my own.
This little moth has been hanging about for the past week or so and we don't really know what it is. It's nothing we have ordered, so we reckon it must have come in from one of Matt's mystery boxes at The Entomologist. He sponsors us and sends us free pupae occasionally when he has left overs. The closest I can come to is Milionia Zonea, but I'm not convinced on account of the orange antennae.
Edit: Now identified as an African Peach Moth thanks to BanksiaMan.
I was wondering if anyone on blip wanted to come to the Butterfly House for a little blipmeet towards the end of August? It would be a private session when the house is closed to the public so quieter than normal with the possibility of a nice blip for the day, and an optional drink and/or snack at the café in the park afterwards?
I am looking at week commencing Monday 21st August - maybe the Tuesday or Thursday morning? Any interest - let me know your preferred date?
