An American in England
I was in Letchworth today for a sales pitch. I'm the training consultant for a company that makes a training system for night vision goggles and its owner was there to help sell the system to a fellow member of NATO. After the presentation we retired to the bar, or the outside of the bar so that others could smoke, but where a chill breeze got up and forced this gentleman to wrap his thin jacket about him.
Shortly after this we took our guests to the Fox, a very decent restaurant just around the corner. I was very pleased that our foreign visitors could enjoy a decent meal, not something that you can guarantee.
