It is abundantly clear...

...that I could never do this job.

Kevin came to trim the dead wood off our walnut trees today. It was of great interest to small - and large - people on the front porch.

The walnut harvest used to be abundant until the squirrels became even more abundant -- now we're lucky to get a handful. They start chewing on the walnuts when they're barely formed -- I find partially chewed green husks all over the yard, and they throw them down on the cottage roof till it sounds like I'm under attack. I swear they lob them at me in the back yard. It's a good thing squirrels are cute and fun to watch!
