To the quarry
We headed back over to mainland Wales today, not travelling far but into Snowdonia specifically Llanberis on the Llyn Padarn. The forecast was for rain but apart from a few spots we stayed dry and I think the landscape benefitted from something a little temperamental. I have apparently only done 42 floors today versus 57 yesterday but the walk up to Dinorwic Quarry was harder than yesterday's lighthouse walk with steps up a zigzag path not made for shorter folk but it was worth the effort. 72 shots taken either on the way up or at the quarry and a difficult choice for a blip tonight. The view over to Dolbardan Castle was a feature of the route (as seen in one of the extras) as were the mountain goats.
Back down with no less effort than the way up but a little faster perhaps. Mum and Bailey were back at the car and we had something to eat and a little wander before going for a look around the National Slate Museum which provided plenty of interest for a third extra.
And then we headed back over the bridge to make the most of sitting out in the garden, playing Bananagrams. One game each and chillier temperatures sent us in eventually.
