Tulip

Tulip seedpod opening up.

Has anyone tried growing tulips from seed? Should I just put them in the ground & hope or should I put them in a pot?

Tidying mess for then bins. But been so wet this last fortnight my garden bin is still empty & the weeds are growing, flowering & going to seed!
