Hip hop

Another day, another show. This was dance company Grenade with a show called Stolar. This means chair in Swedish, but I have no idea how Sweden was related to the show (yes there were chairs involved). They are trained dancers so it was a blend of modern dance and hip hop with an interesting choice of modern music -- there's a short video and details of the music here. It was short (45 minutes) and intense -- I don't know how they could have continued for longer. They got a standing ovation. We are so lucky to have shows of this quality almost literally on our doorstep.

The dim lighting (apart from obtrusive and very bright light on the left!) and extremely fast movement made it difficult to photograph, but there are a couple more in extras.
