Windmill 'De Mars', De Blesse

'Mars' can mean 'march' or 'marsh' or even 'Mars' (although clearly not for this one!), but, in this case, Mars is the surname of the current owner.  The mill itself was built in 1834.  It's standing in the middle of a clump of houses with limited to no panoramic possibilities.  I had to remind myself that the windmill was there before all the other buildings were constructed.  It's not the windmill's fault!  :DD)))

Long drive to the north, more so because of the changeable weather.  Caught this when it was dry with even some small patches of blue in the sky.  It has become increasingly difficult to go hunting.  Wondering if this will continue until autumn.  Dutch weather means the possibility of six months of continuous grey.  That said, there will no doubt be several in-between periods of some sun.  We shall see.

Back home, some supermarket errands and the inevitable kitchen duties, plus the genealogical drawing board and some gaming.  AW found a new vacancy, so quickly improved my CV and applied.  All the schools are on holiday now, naturally, so I don't expect a response till the third or fourth week of August.

Thankful for my windmills.
