Private Pier

Many of the houses along the Stromness waterfront have private piers. It's a lovely town with lanes,  alleyways and streets all tumbling together. This morning we walked along to the Pierhead to meet Iain and Mrs Creel. Great to see them again and take a walk up the brae. They came along for coffee after our walk and Flora made herself at home. Lucky me I have a further blipmeet to look forward to this afternoon.  

The girls and their mum and dad are leaving on the late afternoon ferry. They'll drive straight down the road and hope the girls will sleep. It will be sad to wave them off but a good decision given the journey they have ahead. The rest of us are rounding up the remaining food for tonight and doing some packing ready for early morning departures tomorrow. The week has flown by. 

Everyone but Cameraman, Flora and I will be home tomorrow. We have more Orkney yet to come.
