Staples out
There were 37 of them. No.1 was brave and strong (her new nickname is 'Warrior') and she chatted to Trisha while they were removed. Journey there and back was horrible with so much rain and idiots on the road but we broke the day up with a visit to Tooting where No.1 did a bit of tidying up and sorting out (JC had gone away for a week in a hurry - enough said!).
Home to catch up with OH who had spent the night with MIL and SIL in Eastbourne, he told us of the trials of taking an old lady away for a night, fortunately not sharing a room. SIL didn't get much sleep as was woken for loo runs on 4 or 5 occasions! Just relaxing watching George Clarke when the phone rang at 9.30 - she had fallen again and couldn't get up. No.1 also concerned about swelling where the staples had come out. We didn't know if it was 'normal' or whether we should go back to St George's (reluctant to go to local A&E who don't know her case). We decided to sleep on it (not much sleep) to see what happens in the morning.
Another day done.
