It's been another non-stop day and a good one.

We'd done some blood tests last Thursday, the reports of which came through the following day. The accompanying note said - see a doctor within a week, so in typical S & G fashion, we went on the last day. The doctor was great and very upbeat. I am glad we've got that out of the way. G needed some adjustments to her meds.

I was thrilled to get the car rental extended without needing to go to the depot - not that it's far away. It's good to know that Dollar UAE has better customer service than Dollar Cyprus. (The experience there several years ago made me vow never to use them again.) Now that we have a reliable car with good air conditioning, we can contemplate a long drive out of the city on the weekend. :))

As I finally know what I'm doing (or not doing) over the summer, getting my hair done is a long overdue priority. That is now rectified and is where my blip was taken. I can't believe how much traffic we've got in August. In past years, Dubai completely emptied, and those left behind enjoyed the road to themselves and quickly got wherever they wanted.
