Black and White
We have not used the Mini for a few weeks, and so we decided to give it a bit of a run this afternoon. We drove to Bramall Hall, and had a short walk around, J using her stick. She is keen to strengthen her legs, and is making good progress.
From what I can gather the building is mainly 14th to 16th century, with a lot of restoration work at the end of the 19th. It’s now owned by Stockport MBC. It’s pretty magnificent, one of the best survivors of its type in England. This is the view of the back. The front is just as impressive (a van parked by the gardener working on the rose border spoilt it from a photographic point of view). As we walked up to the front a grey wagtail flew on to the woodwork and then behind a drainpipe where it was feeding its young.
