Tomatos and Peppers

We have to grow the tomatos and peppers on the deck as the deer just totally destroy them if they are within reach.
So far the deer haven't ventured up the steps but I wouldn't put anything beyond them.
There is also some parsley dill and purple basil growing in little pots.
The lavender, lemon balm, mint and thyme are reasonably safe in the ground since they don't seem too attracted to healthy herbs....
