The Best Is Yet To Come

It has been such a privilege and a joy to be asked to photograph parts of the Mull Music Makers festival week.  There were some amazing tutors and assistant tutors working with the 36 young people of different ages and experience, who were so attentive, engaged and enthusiastic.  The very little ones started outside with Vanessa who got them doing physical movements to develop a sensation or action that they will associate with each note, then she lets them loose on their fiddles.  It was very inspiring.  On Thursday they played on Tobermory beach as a small fundraiser.  This Saturday a coach load of 40 including 24 children/young people head off to Edinburgh to play at the opening concert for the Edinburgh festival.  How good is that?!  I hope Laura, who has co-ordinated this week, is feeling super proud of the young people, and herself.

I've also had a couple of the delightful young assistant tutors staying at the B&B so it's been a busy week.

Permissions have been given for photos of the young people apart from two who I have either not photographed or edited out of images.
