One day more ...
… and then Watson’s family will be back home with him. I’m sure he can’t wait, it must have seemed a very long and lonely two weeks, despite the twice-daily visits from Smithers, but he’s too polite to say it.
This afternoon we delivered the clean laundry and put some groceries in the kitchen, checked the houseplants and gave Watson some strokes. Tomorrow I will make some spinach pancakes and then we’ll take them round to their house for their supper, with a supply of Betty’s Bars (oats, seeds, apricots and honey bars) to snack on in the meantime.
“You have a grand gift for silence, Watson. It makes you quite invaluable as a companion.”
Arthur Conan Doyle
