Hippo in the Piano

I have never seen a child as obsessed with books as this one; no matter how many you read to her, she cries when you stop. Any British (and American?) parent will recognise Where's Spot? I brought the Portuguese version from Portugal.

Julia and I decided to get stuck in to removing the artificial turf in their yard and scraping the walls for painting - it's not going to be easy, for various reasons. 

Drama of the day when Eden fell headlong out of her highchair - tears were shed, and not just by Eden. Safely in her cot now, and parents out for a walk together.

Gratefuls:
- Eden surviving her fall
- chatting to a lovely couple down one of the alleys because of Eden wanting to pet their dogs; "Come for a cup of tea anytime", they said (did they mean it??)
- English sunshine, so pleasant to be out in
