Friday ….

Oscar was sick before we went to bed and then very restless. Consequently it was gone 2am before I went to sleep.

Very worried about Oscar when I woke up, he had slept all night, very lethargic, wouldn’t eat his breakfast (last ate breakfast the day before, but only half of it), VERY clingy and could not settle. With the weekend coming, appointment made with the vet. Left Oscar there for tests/X-ray/ECG.

Met up with a friend at lunch time for a dog walk, it’s was during her lunch break so half an hour walk/chat. Took Lili with me as she was looking a bit lost. Lovely chat/catch up and Lili got on ok with my friends dog.

On my way home, vet called. Oscar has Atrial Fibrillation (on top of his heart failure and hole in the heart). Prescribed Digoxin - collected the prescription from the vets (they are unable to get the medication until next week, but can obtain from the pharmacy) and went on the hunt for a pharmacy to prescribe it. Three pharmacies visited, lucky on the last one.

Vet called to say that Oscar could go home - he’s perked up a bit but still not wanting to eat. Monitor over the weekend - follow up appointment on Monday.
