He's Behind You!

Earlier this evening I went to Aberdour.  As part of their annual local festival, there was a talk/presentation by Antarctic Veteran 'Matthew Phillips' who has completed 5 winters down there working for the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) based at both South Georgia and Rothera.

I really enjoyed his talk and images as it brought back memories of my home 50 years ago.  I managed a short chat with him afterwards but could have spent much longer with him finding out how much things have changed.

Within his presentation, he mentioned that the leopard seal usually eats penguins but its gape could easily envelop the human head.
