Early Rider…..

Maisie and I started walking a little later this morning. There was low cloud along the eastern horizon. Probably bad weather heading to Wellington. However, the light and colours as the sun came into view was absolutely stunning. I was spoilt for choice when choosing an image to blip. A cyclist overtook us as we approached a footbridge near the down town section of the river. The narrow gauge railway line to the right of the bridge is part of the Blenheim Riverside Railway system. There is a tiny bird flying to the right. . Bliss. The sunshine and light prevailed for some time. Once home, clouds gathered and the day turned from warm gold to cold grey. Sons Alex and Duncan and I visited the library later this morning. We found a cosy place to sit and spent an hour or two reading. A great way to pass some time.
