New Corners

The intersection of Baltimore & Florence Avenues at 48th Street has been redesigned a bit. Earlier it was a much larger space to cross as a pedestrian in space created for cars.

The yellow-painted areas, the big granite slabs, and the clay planters were a surprise to me. I was slow to like the new appearance of this spot at the heart of my neighborhood.

I have just decided that I like it. Here is what it looked like a month ago.
