The gas plumber

An ordinary day, with only two highlights, so here is a blip that is completely out of character for me. At least it is something quite different!.

This was the first one - the gas plumber came to fix our dead hot-water system that died several days ago. Now we can have hot showers again. Only joking. Luckily we have a guest bathroom on a separate water heater, so we weren't really disadvantaged too much. I thought a shot of him in action was worthy of a blip. The new instant gas water heater can be seen as a small white box in the upper centre.

The second highlight was the arrival of the 2 young electricians, one with a box full of new LED lights to replace the old halogen lights in the kitchen and family room/office area. That means we can actually afford to have more lights on at night, and Paladian will stop nagging me to switch the lights off all the time.

The second electrician was working in the library, now fairly devoid of books, to hide all of the wires and cables inside neat ducting, now that the books no longer do all of the hiding! Then we can start filling up the shelves again with the books that we kept.

All in all it was quite a productive day at home.
