A few of us from the barn took the horses to York River State Park for a trail ride. It was lots of fun. Here is Swinger investigating the water. He likes splashing in puddles, but was suspicious of the mini waves.
The trip home got interesting. The right front tire on the truck shredded while we were in the left lane. We safely got to the right shoulder. All the horses were okay and we were okay. After 3 hours, 2 AAA towing/tire changing guys, 2 amazing good Samaritans , 1 highway safety guy, and 1 state trooper we got the tire changed and safely made it home.
Lessons learned:
Make sure you have and can locate the necessary tools for an emergency.
Chevy guys are nicer.
