From Nogent sur Seine to Troyes

So, we hate mud tracks and I'm afraid of slipping and falling or, worse, ending up in the Seine. So, we hate busy main roads and they frighten Bert, probably because he can't hear the lorries very well.

Today we chose a road that connected the villages to Troyes.  We couldn't have found such a road on the map yesterday.  The road had just little traffic and as a bonus we drove through all the small villages.  Villages that made me wonder if people lived there at all, as quiet as it was.
An extra bonus was the amount of bus shelters that we gratefully used along the way, because we've used them very often during the many showers.

The city campsite in Troyes turned out to be no longer accessible for tents.  There isn't another one.  We drove through the city and looked at the hotel options on the internet over an espresso.

Troyes is a beautiful historic town.  The Maison du Dauphine on my blip of the day, is one of the oldest houses in Troyes (from 1472)
