Sad Day

The day started with a phone call just after 6am, from Stephen, saying he couldn’t wake his mum and so the EMT’s were there. He then called at 7:30 to say she had been pronounced dead. Pat Nemargut was 71 years old.

I’ve known Pat almost 40 of those years. She was the mother of 10 boys and I’ve had some fun times with many of them over the years.

Pat talked me into being a Cub Scout Leader with her and that lead me to working with the boys for many years as I was Cub Master.

Pat worked hard all her life and did the work of a man. She lived for her boys even when they were no longer boys. To her they were always her boys.
