Ashburton Lakes

In May we visited the Ashburton Lakes in their autumn mode and I knew I wanted to return when snow was added to the scenery.

What a beautiful winter day we chose!  We visited Lake Heron (main photo), also Lake Clearwater and Lake Camp (in extras).  Of course merino sheep in their high country environment feature throughout the area (also in extras).
