Recycling

My 103 year old neighbour moved to higher care. In the retirement village, a Villa is emptied by the family and then the renovators move in and throw out what is left. Even though the place was almost finished being updated I checked around the back and there was a perfectly good door mat sitting under paint tins, tools and lots of paint dust. It would have been discarded when all the work was completed.

I rescued it and cleaned it up a bit and have given it a new home. What a waste it almost became. It was probably hardly used.
