Mount Coot - Tha

Today we met up with the family whose wedding we have come to Australia to attend.
We started by taking a taxi to the Indooroopilly United church for the 9 am service where we were met by Mrs AMK ‘s brother John ( who lives in HK ). He then took us to the the Mt Coot-tha lookout which on a nice day would have given us a lovely view of Brisbane . Unfortunately a light drizzle had started and my photo is not worth sharing.
We then drove to the Mt Coot-tha forest Botanical garden where we saw many unusual ( for us ) plants and trees. Not least was the Sausage tree in the extra but I was taken by the one in the blip with its covering of “‘carbuncles”’- is it perhaps a Eucalypt and should these be on it I wonder?

Then it was time to meet up with our niece Amanda , the bride to be , along with her mother and fiancé in her beautiful house close by . She and I had lovely vet chat as she graduated as a vet in Glasgow 7 years ago.

The wedding is not till next Saturday so tomorrow we leave Brisbane and head to Coffs Harbour for 4 days of chilling by which time I hope we will be over our jet lag !
