The annual bee on knapweed blip.

With a dry morning forecast I had to spend it in the garden.

I started by sawing wood . . . a length that gets in the way every time I want to get the lawn mower out. That’s now in about 8 pieces destined for Jane’s fire in the winter. Then I had to move my new (upcycled) bird feeder post that Jane brought last weekend. It’s now in the garden even though I don’t feed the birds during the summer months.

Lots of weeding, dead heading and general tidying, then I started on the lawn. The ants have been active while the grass has been long and wet. There were 8 small mounds of loose soil.

There was some blue sky and sunshine in the afternoon.
